I find that using only popularity proportions is lacking the overall sample size information (or cumulative future branching point degrees).
Nowhere, on the page, do we even get the total either, as in the opening explorer itself.
Could it be presented in parallel with the percentage, or upon user hover event on the percentage display for each tile.
I like to look at the sample size too not just the relative ratios (in fact I prefer the "games" number, I can gauge the proportions myself, but they have more information from a statistical point of view than just the ratios).
Otherwise, I find that a great idea to make the most visual-thinking-oriented projection of that move first see later opening explorer data. One can have a one FOV view off all the successors position without having to actually do any move and then back and then a again, forward, ... etc...
